You are unlikely to be covered if, at the time of your trip, the government are restricting travel away from your home. Please see your local guidance for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and check with your insurance provider if you are unsure about your cover.

For single trip cover, you only need to start your policy from the date you leave your home for your destination. This should be the date you leave your home for your trip, rather than the date your flight, ship or train departs. If cancellation is included on your policy, you’ll be covered as soon as you buy the policy.

All insurance policies will have a maximum amount of days that they will cover you for any one trip that you take. This can be anything from 22 days to 90 days. You will be able to see this information on the quote screen. If you are not sure, we will show you all quotes.
